17M Hey so browsed in this sub for a while and 100% sure I have a grade 3 varicocele on the left (visible and prominent even looking from a distance) and and kinda sure about a lower grade (2? maybe still a 3, though I can only feel it and not see it) on the right.

##Why now?
I have been ignoring it for the past like... 2 years? never caused a problem and just thought that's what they are like. but in recent weeks there's a dull pain every once in a while, enough to make me tear up sometimes.

At this point It probably would hurt enough to impede life in a few months so might as well visit a doctor now :p

#What questions should I ask?

  1. Do I start with "I think I probably have a varicocele, can ya confirm and treat it"
  2. are any treatment methods a lot better than the others or are they all similar? heard of embolism, microsurgery and the likes and all seem to have 90%~ success
  3. Should I push for scans for possible risk factors like Nutcracker syndrome, or may-turners (this name might be wrong) or should I only consider those after resurgence?
  4. Which doctor do I go to? I assume a urologist, but maybe andrologists if that's a thing? I have never seen them in my region tho
  5. Should I bother with Baseline tests (testosterone, sperm counts) or not bother since the main reason for the treatment is (possible) pain
