Jio 5G Becoming Unusable on Hotspot — Thinking of Switching to Vi, Need Suggestions
Currently using Jio 5G but honestly it’s been terrible for the last 6–7 months. Whenever I turn on hotspot for my laptop, network instantly switches from 5G to 4G and speeds drop badly. As soon as I turn hotspot off, 5G comes back again 🤦♂️
My yearly recharge expires in June, so I’m thinking of switching to Vi. Their yearly plans are almost the same price and they offer:
- Weekend data rollover
- Unlimited data from 12 AM–12 PM
- Unlimited 5G (300GB cap)
My monthly usage is around 200GB, mostly on weekends, which is exactly when Jio becomes unusable for me because daily limit gets exhausted after dropping to 4G.
Wanted to ask:
- How is Vi 5G coverage/range and stability?
- Does hotspot work properly on Vi 5G?
- Anyone switched from Jio to Vi recently? Worth it or not?
