I got a Westinghouse 16" pedestal fan a week ago, I Loved it at first but I have to replace it because the motor has a burning plastic smell that I doubt is safe for me or my cat. Its has a strong airflow but im wondering if anyone had any issues with the same fan or if this was a one off situation? I got it at a Walmart for like 40 bucks, I KNOW there are better fans out there but I can't afford them and personally loved this fan for its strength. There are no visible burns on it at all, just seems like something is wrong with the motor shaft, I checked and there is no fur, dust or hair stuck inside.
