Finding this sub has almost scared me off 😐Returning 80's skater.
Finding this sub might have been a mistake for me lol. Like many, I quad skated as a kid and was there late 80's early 90's when quad kinda died and inline was the new cool thing. I'd quad skated for years as a kid and was good, then went inline with the bandwagon, good at that too. Stopped skating probably 93-95 idk.
Now I don't tik-tok or anything but for yearrrrrs have missed the joys of quad skating, I didn't know it was having a renaissance due to feeds, it's just a fond thing close in my mind I wanted to pick back up someday.
Now, hell, I'm 40 and all effed up and disabled from military and wars, OIF/OEF, and I really can't be running. My 20's fav mountain biking is even a bit too impact for me. Figured heck, now's my time to get some quads again!
Little did I know, it's becoming a thing again. And yay! I recall it being so fun and pure with a bit of decent lite cardio. Thinking I should see what the quad world is up to now, found this sub.
I was thinking heck, I'm not big commitment here, I'm all f'ed up physically, I just wanna glide on some sidewalks for an hour occasionally, stretch my legs, do some lite cardio... A (re)-starter pair can't be more than $100 - $150 right?
Yikes lol. I went way down the rabbit hole with the posts here, the wiki, the guides, the horror stories, and yikes idk now. I had a $100 pair in my cart, but now I'm scared. I just wanted to go 1mph up the sidewalk to the coffee shop and go in circles around the pond to stretch my legs. I really don't need the $500+ skates that can do tony hawk stunts, right?
