If someone joined ORNL (or any other national lab) postdoc within the last 1 year, can you please tell me what the timeline was like from applying to getting the offer? I recently applied to a position which aligns very well with my PhD research. But I am defending very soon and worried about having a job by then (I am a non-US citizen and the postdoc doesn’t require citizenship). I’ve interviewed at a bunch of industry and tenure-track jobs, even went as far as on-site interviews but none of them worked out in the end.
