Question about Best-Fit lines

So, what criteria do your best-fit lines actually have to meet to gain full points? I think it was question 3 part B where we had to draw a best fit line for the data that plotted v^2 on the y-axis and d on the x-axis. Anyways, the way I made my best fit line was a straight line that extended from the first to last point (it was correct insofar as there were an equal number of points above and below and all that). The issue is that my best-fit line had no arrow and did not extrapolate in either direction (did not go beyond and did not start from like the origin or nearby). Could I still get full points for this?

Question about the "students only have a meterstick" FRQ

So I made the drop height the "varying quantity" and you would measure how far it traveled on the horizontal rough surface. The issue is that I said to plot height on the y-axis and horizontal travel distance on the x-axis (in which case the independent variable is on the y-axis). I then said that this would mean the slope is equal to u_k (which is correct). In this scuffed graph where the y-axis is the independent and the x-axis is the dependent, could I still get full points? Let me know, thanks.

Sorry for the bad quality, this was the best my phone could do. Anyways, I was hoping someone might know what this is and how it got on my arm in my room randomly.
