My maltipoo puppy is 6 months now, and ever since we got her at 9 weeks her breath has been… foul. Like weird, skunky smell. It got even worse once teething started.
And it’s not just her breath,her saliva smells too. If she chews a toy, licks us, or even licks our older dog, everything ends up smelling gross.
We’ve had her checked by the vet a few times and he keeps saying it’s normal for her age. But I always thought “puppy breath” was supposed to go away pretty early, like by 3–4 months?
She drinks plenty of fresh filtered water, eats good quality food, and we’ve started brushing her teeth too.
The weird part is our older dog (maltipoo) NEVER had this issue — not as a puppy, not even now when she’s at the age of 6
Is this actually normal and I just got lucky with my first dog… or should I be pushing this more with the vet?
