Why are witches traditionally depicted with broomsticks?
What cultural or symbolic origins might explain why the broom became associated with their image instead of another everyday object?

Edit: I’m asking out of curiosity, not to offend anyone. Every time I call it is almost impossible to hear a European Spanish or local accent when calling customer service in most companies in the country. Health insurance, electricity, banks, HR departments, even airlines and private hospitals, etc. And it’s interesting because I’m not a native Spanish speaker, yet this always catches my attention. Why is that?
