So I enlisted in 2017 and paid into the Montgomery GI bill. I get out in a few months and want to go to school. I know about the rudisill act but what I’m confused about is which GI bill will be used for the first 36 months? I’m from Boston and plan to go to school there so I feel like I’m getting screwed if I have to exhaust the Montgomery for the first 36 months because I’ll receive 0 bah. Does anybody have an answer or is this case by case basis? Do I need to call the VA and opt out of the Montgomery before I get out? Thanks
