Until now I've been microsoldering with a magnifying glass... I now have some 0201's before me and chips with some tiny pins.
I've been doing this only as a Hobby. I dont intend to do this as a profession, but I wanna have my fun. Currently I'm just fixing things, but as I'm come from the software dev world, I could also imagine building stuff with microcontrollers etc. in the future. But there really is no intent of doing this for any financial gain.
Thats why I have been debating on what to get. One of the cheapest trinocular (I think I would like to be able to add a camera for like streaming on discord to friends or smth like that) is around ~250€, which is not that far off from the price of everything else I have combined...
But I also dont want a buy cheap, buy twice situation.
For a stereo I've been eying a Mechanic Robot 6560T and for a digital scope I think I would like some sort of C-Mount camera setup so if I ever get a trinocular, I could reuse the camera. I have a spare monitor for it to connect to.
The Mechanic Robot 6560T would be around 250€ (excluding potential import fees as its over 150€), the digital one around ~120€.
I know this subreddit loves stereo microscopes, but is this worth it for my non-professional usecase? What do you think?
