APD decided they didn't need to come out to investigate a possum that was hung deliberately into my yard. We found the possum hanging from a cable fashioned into a noose. Like an actual noose. My partner believes the possum was already dead, maybe hit by a car, before he was hung in our yard. APD didn't even wait to hear that much though before they rubber stamped it and said they would said animal control to collect the body. Case closed.

I'm freaked out. I know there are kids in the house behind us, and it was probably a prank, but it's a really messed up thing to find. I'm really shaken and anxious about it, even though I seem to be the only one.
