Since arriving in Uzbekistan, random notifications do not appear on my phone Notification Center. For example, none from NYTimes. Likes and comment notifications from Instagram don’t work, but message notifications do. Both apps seem to work normally, though.

I don’t believe these are problems with my apps or phone. The problems started immediately after arriving in Tashkent a few days ago.

Anyone else experience this?

For reference, I have a European-bought iPhone 16 using a local UCell physical SIM card while I’m here.
