What the heck happened to Target Date Funds today?

What the heck happened to Target Date Funds today?

My 2060 target date fund dropped 2.52% today. The position has about 50% domestic stocks, 40% international, and 10% bonds.

The S&P 500 was up 0.84% today, and FZILX (international) was up 0.78%.

What happened? My taxable account has 80/20 US/international stocks (FXAIX & FZILX, 5% FSELX), and almost always agrees with my 401k, just with different weight based on the international market (individual was up 0.91% today).

Not a huge deal based on the amount, just no idea what happened. Did bonds absolutely tank? Is there an overly weighted stock that got destroyed?

I know target date funds aren’t super ideal, but I’m not too interested in that feedback, just the mechanics of what may have happened and if this is common.
