Man Who Met Boys Via Geometry Dash Pleads Guilty to Online Sex Offenses in Maryland
A Florida man accused of using an online game to meet and sexually exploit twin boys in Baltimore County pleaded guilty Tuesday to four counts of sex offenses.
Ross Bauman, 19, of the Tampa Bay area of Florida, entered guilty pleas to two counts of sexual solicitation of a minor and two counts of production of child pornography.
The Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s office is seeking a sentence of 20 years in prison.
Investigators said Bauman contacted an eight-year-old boy in January 2025 through the online game Geometry Dash on the child’s iPad.
Eventually, Bauman and the child moved their conversations off the gaming platform to private email. Police said he repeatedly asked the second-grader to create sexual photos and videos to send to him. Bauman also convinced the boy to involve his brother in the videos, police said.
The messaging continued for more than a month, according to investigators. In March, the boys’ parents discovered some of the images and messages on the iPad and notified police.
