sudden irregular period after 5 years?
hi guys, i’m new so i apologize if this breaks any rules.
i’ve been on Nexplanon since May 2021, i had it replaced for the first time in November 2024, and i’m due for my next replacement in November 2027. for the first 3 years, everything was great! no periods, no pregnancy, just what i wanted. i should rephrase, i did not bleed for the first 3 years, but i knew when it was my cycle through the other symptoms i was having; cramps, headaches, mood swings, facial hair growth, etc. after i got it replaced, i started getting a VERY light period, like no need for even a panty liner light, about every 3 months with INTENSE symptoms. that very light period came last month, which i was expecting. i was not expecting this month to come with 9 days of bleeding (and counting) and cramps so intense they’ve made me cry through my work shift. these cramps are not constant, there have been times throughout this period where i’ve had no cramps or pain at all. i’m just wondering if anyone on Nexplanon can say they’ve had similar experiences or if anyone knows if this might be a bigger issue. lmk!
