I’ve been working on Wedli, a wedding planning app for UK couples, and I’d genuinely love some feedback.

The idea is pretty simple: wedding planning gets messy very quickly. You start with a spreadsheet, then another one for the budget, then WhatsApp messages, supplier emails, RSVP replies, seating plan notes, payment reminders, song requests… and before long everything is all over the place.

Wedli brings it into one organised workspace.

At the moment it includes:

  • Guest list management
  • Online RSVP forms with custom questions
  • Budget tracking
  • Supplier/vendor details
  • Payment and due date tracking
  • Seating planner
  • Wedding day timeline
  • Music and playlist planning
  • To-do and shopping lists
  • PDF and Excel exports

It’s aimed at couples who want something cleaner and calmer than a load of spreadsheets, but without paying the premium that other sites like this seem to cost. You can check out the functionality in the demo mode which you can access beforing signing up.

The site is here: wedli.co.uk

Would love to know what people think, especially anyone currently planning a wedding and dealing with the chaos of guest lists and RSVPs.

Its UK focused for now but I'd be interested to know what changes would be good to make it accessible internationally (except the obvious currency).

So I recently saw SIX. Ive been seeing loads of hype for it online and I love the music but I am very late to the party. The performance was excellent and I can see why people like it, but in reality, compared to a lot of other shows the “theatre” part of six is quite poor and it feels more like a panto or a children’s concert.

I’m not here to debate that part, we can all enjoy things as we like and that’s just my take away. I’m happy others enjoy it.

The real question is, do the investors and companies that put on musicals, especially the touring ones, now apply pressure to creatives to produce shorter musicals with less cast and crew and a static set? Six has proven that people are willing to pay the same price as a standard show for a lot less production costs. So while a global success has it forever changed the industry not for good?

Personally I really hope I’m wrong!
