Hi everyone,

To preface, I am not willing to rent a car while I’m in Sicily (just too afraid lol) and I need to get to a small town about 25 mins north of Catania in the morning time. Please let me know of any suggestions as to who to hire or look for a driver/company that won’t be late and can manage an early morning pickup (9am)

I’m no stranger to lip filler, but I recently went to a well-regarded provider in my area, known for all types of facial fillers and Botox, hoping to address some areas of insecurity. Based on their results with other clients and their emphasis on working with each person’s individual anatomy, I felt confident going in.

We agreed on my first-ever Botox (forehead, 11s, crow’s feet), smile line filler, chin shadowing filler, and potentially .5ml to the lips, though that last one wasn’t fully decided.

Here’s where things went sideways:

Lips: I came in with pre-existing migration on my top lip. Rather than dissolving it, the provider suggested adding .5ml to the bottom to “balance” things, even though my bottom lip was already naturally larger. Now my bottom lip is visually overfilled and spilling at the corners, and my top lip looks smaller than before. The opposite of what I wanted.

Botox: I have noticeable banding on my forehead, a visible bulge when I try to raise my eyebrows, which suggests it wasn’t evenly distributed and the muscle is overcompensating.

Smile line filler: My cheek area now looks heavier and I’m getting new lines after smiling in spots that never had them before. Mid-appointment, the injector also put a cannula into my marionette lines, an area we never discussed, I never consented to, and that I have zero concern about at my age (late 20s).

The whole appointment felt rushed. She mentioned being booked 4 months out with back-to-back clients, and the next patient arrived 25 minutes early. I didn’t have space to speak up about what was happening in real time.

The situation now: I have an event in about a month. The only thing I’m happy with is the chin shadowing. Everything else needs to be dissolved, which means more trauma, more bruising, and I tend to bruise significantly more from dissolving than from getting filler in the first place. I’m not confident my face will recover in time.

I’m expecting the corrections to be done at no charge. But realistically, is there any precedent for getting partial compensation when basically nothing worked out? Total cost was around $1,200. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable. This was a vulnerable decision for me and I feel like my face is genuinely worse than when I started.
