"Hi everyone, I married my U.S. citizen spouse in Turkey last month, and she recently returned to the U.S. We are now looking to start the spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) process and would love to get some advice from people who have experience with this. Specifically, we are wondering: for those who have gone through this, what are your top tips? Also, in your opinion, is it truly necessary to hire a lawyer, or is the process manageable on our own?
