did anyone with IIH report vision loss in one eye then second eye?? Losing central vision! Was anyone diagnosed with IIH and then nothing was working so they were then looking at LHON? Received two lumbar punctures, on diamox 1500mg for almost a month, steroid treatment, nothing working and vision loss is progressing. Still trying to figure out why they aren’t recommending stent or shunt. Trying to get second and third opinion. My partner is going blind. Diagnosed with IIH but treatments are not working.

My partner has basically gone blind and is on diamox 1500mg, two lumbar punctures, steroids, nothing is working and vision getting progressively worse. Seeing docs all the time and they don’t know what’s going on. Central vision going away and really staticy and with visual snow, he’s had to stop working and can barely see. Could anyone recover from this? I’m so scared and sad. He can’t see to even write this message. Are there any cases of anyone recovering from this level of vision loss? I’m so sad. He says central vision is gone and what is there it is almost like a vincent van gogh painting or with lots of static and visual snow. Trying to find someone who may have experienced this and made a recovery.
