Advice on How to succeed on the MCAT
I recently took the MCAT in April. I tried to self study using the Kaplan books and the Anking deck. I got a 493 on the MCAT which did match up pretty well with the AAMC FL's that I took.
I recognized that I took too long to do the content review spending over two months on just that. I also think that not using a program put me at a huge disadvantage since I was spending upwards of 4 hours each day just studying and not practicing how to answers questions and pacing myself.
As a result, I will have to take 3 gap years total, that is if I can score at least a 505 or above on my next test. This is the last year that I can take the test with my accomodations. But here is the tricky part, I'm currently working full time as a scribe, and I can't just quit my job. I work from 9-5 every day which gives me time in the morning to study and time in the evening to study.
My main question, is what program/combination of program is the best for creating a study plan, learning endurance for tests, and learning how to review my mistakes properly.
Thanks for any advice you can offer!
