My roommate and I want to start making short films. We have the camera and lights and the only thing we need is a decent microphone.
We are broke 25 year olds and realistically have no money to spend.
However if I'm going to spend all this time making a movie I want it to be acceptable. It doesn't need to be perfect but I don't want people noticing bad audio.
Any recommendations? Doesn't matter what kind. What is the lowest level mic that is still worth buying?
Preferably something versatile. Mostly shooting indoor but occasionally out door shoots (we will make due. I'm sure wind will be a factor unless you spent a ton of money)
Is there something for $200? I could possibly do $350 but it would hurt. Or is it worth saving and getting a $500?
