For people who took ECE-GY 6483 Real-Time Embedded Systems:

Would you recommend taking it online or in-person?

I’m interested in embedded systems / robotics / industrial automation, so this seems like an important class for me. My concern is that the in-person section ends pretty late at night, so I’m wondering if online would be a better option.

Does taking it online hurt the learning experience a lot? Or is it manageable if you stay disciplined?

Would appreciate any advice from people who took the class.

How hard is ECE-GY 6253 Linear Systems （core course）really?

I’m planning to take it with Real-Time Embedded Systems and Foundations of Robotics. I’ve heard the class is very math-heavy with hard exams and low averages, so I’m a bit worried about GPA.

My background is EE with Signals & Systems, DSP, and Control Systems. More interested in embedded/robotics than pure theory.

Any advice or things I should review before taking it?
