I started creating content about half a year ago, mostly rant videos and some reviews. Now I’ve mainly shifted toward game recommendations, reviews, and some rant content, and I feel like I just can’t hold my viewers’ attention without sacrificing my personality for views.
- My problem: Even when I made more opinionated rant videos, I still didn’t find any success on YouTube — only on TikTok and Instagram.
- My problem: Ever since my content started shifting, I haven’t really felt successful anywhere.
- My problem: I’m always trying to improve my channel statistically, but all that does is make less and less of my personality show up in the videos.
For reference, the picture is from a semi-successful gaming video. Most of my gaming content averages around 10–15 seconds of watch time, while my rant content usually gets around 20–30 seconds.
I would really appreciate feedback on how I can keep my personality while also increasing my watch time. My channel is: @thelemonjournalist on TikTok
