Just got my first hat a couple weeks back, etiquette?
So, as the title says, just got my first cowboy hat (well since ‘04, freshmen year of high school) a couple of weeks ago. My original hat, I never wore, it just sat on a hat hook in my teenage bedroom then got chucked by my dad when I left for the Navy.
Anywho! What’s some etiquette for wearing one? I know of don’t touch another persons hat, taking if off for dinner, when you enter a building, and putting it on the crown not the brim. What else? Also, had a buddy tell me to put it on the brim, while touching my hat without permission to flip it over. He said you’re not supposed to show the inside of your hat as it is considered rude? I never heard of that one. I put it on its crown regardless bc I don’t want the brim ruined.
Advice and all that appreciated. Thanks y’all!
