Weak internet: is mevo cam the weak link?

I had perfectly good internet service signal quality, and a Sonim Megaconnect AT&T portable hotspot. I am getting 30 to 40 or more mb up & down. I'm in 720 resolution, and yet the app is telling me there slow internet, and then the video freezes a few times and eventually drops the stream. I got down to 480, still freezing.

Is is transient congestion or throttling on the cellular service? (To be fair it was around 5:00 pm rush hour). But every time I checked, signal and speeds were fine

I am wondering if it is the Mevo cam. Am I too far from the hotpot? What's a decent range for line of sight. I mea,n I ain't far, line of sight, and like 60 feet away.

I also have a GL- MT3000 router. I've never used it. Is it likely to have better reach than the Sonim?

Thanks

I notice that some reports list the general ledger accounts in a weird order that I am unable to even figure out what sorting rules it is using. It is not alphabetical, nor numeric.

I am trying a transaction detail by account report. And I have no idea what it is doing. Income accounts are below equity, but before liabilities.

WTH? I want a report that follows the financial statement order (balance sheet, P&L). Is that too much to ask?

What report setting in sort/grouping will make it follow the same order as what the entire universe uses to sort general ledger accounts?

Please help. Thanks.

Howdy. Time to replace my water heater, which I can 99% do myself.

Alas, the gate valve has not been operated in a while (uh, many years), and it shows oxidization and was pretty difficult to turn. I got it as closed as I felt comfortable, but it was still letting some cold water in.

Test my assumption: if I try to fully close it, I risk breaking something and regretting it? Should I drop a little WD40 or something in the stem?

In any case, replacing a copper line valve is outside my skillz. But getting a plumber here to do it will be quite expensive and can take a long time.

I could just shut off the water supply at the main house valve, replace the water heater, and then do the plumber thing some other time when I can afford it, and a plumber is available.

Is there any reason not to do that, besides the fact that I am likely to blow it off once the new heater is in and forgotten? Thanks.

I have this chair part. "Safe tip." I cannot determine what it does or where it goes. Cannot find one on the internet.

I suspect it goes to an antique bankers chair (Crocker Chair Co, Sheboygan) (swivel, adjustable height, reclining). But cannot figure out how it might fit.

This is the same chair (multiple views) https://www.ebay.com/itm/146131316947

Thanks.

EDIT. Solved. It's not a chair part at all, it's a chain saw part. lol. tgif.

So, I need to amend my kid's 1040 return because the "can be claimed as a dependent" box was not checked, and my efiled return was rejected. However, I just looked over the 1040-X, and cannot for the life of my find where to make that election as an amendment. I am hoping that I am being stoopid and it's right under my nose. Please help me find it. Thanks.

We used Free Fillable Forms for both. Which turns out to be a nightmare for this scenario. Can't amend his, and mine is hung up as rejected.

I guess I will paper-file his 1040-X, wait a few weeks and then file my (extended) 1040, also by paper? But first I need to find the check box...
