I'm an unashamed Wexhead, so take this with a grain of salt but I struggle to see why house Silmuna seems to have such a loyal following within the community. Certainly I can understand why people are opposed to Lothane's tenure as emperor (their loss) but why is house Silmuna seen as a desirable alternative? I'm not the most aware of Damerian lore but afaik house Silmuna sought to centralize power same as Wex did, they just had more time to do it. Their relentless pursuit of the Lorentish throne seems at best as greedy as the Wexonard seizure of the empire and it proved much more destructive. Surely it's not just that Adénn was handsome? If looks determined legitimacy Lothane would be universally beloved!
