Hi all,

I don't go out in Hull too often coz I just always assumed it was kinda dead, stuff gets quiet later on in the night and some days it legit feels like a ghost town.

I've had quite a few Friday nights out in Hull, and legit, sometimes there were like only a handful of people out in the city centre and I was just so confused as to why it was like this.

Whenever I asked people they were like, "ahh it's mid month, so no one comes out" which didn't make a whole lot of sense to me for a city with a population of nearly 300k.

HOWEVER, a massive shock came to me yesterday, when I went out on a Saturday night for the first time.

It was ABSOLUTELY RAMMED. Like busier than I've ever seen it. Lowkey felt like being on the strip in a big European City. It was class.

Now, before I get my expectations up, I wanna know - Is it always like this on a Saturday? Have I genuinely been going out in Hull on the wrong night all this time or was yesterday some special event or something going on that meant everyone was out for some reason?

I'd really like to know whether this is a consistent thing or whether my hunch is correct.

Is Saturday just the unspoken rule for when everyone agrees to go out? Why is this ? And is it always the Dirty Dicks, Rios area etc that is busy or does Fruit market get busy as well , etc, etc.

Would greatly appreciate some insight from people who go out regularly in Hull.

Hi guys,

My friends and I will be going to sicily in a few weeks time, we will be going for around 8/9 nights and want to know which places we need to tick off the Sicily Bucket List.

We will be going around pretty much the whole island more or less, but we will be based primarily in Palermo and then Catania.

Obviously we are gonna do Etna, go cliff jumping in the north of the island, go to Syracuse, visit old towns of both Palermo and Catania etc etc, but which towns and beaches and villages are exceptionally noteworthy and worth visiting ?

P.s. Also I'd be grateful if anyone told me where the best nightlife is as well, where is dangerous and where the best places to go out in the evenings are as well. Thanks 😄
