placement query
For the sake of anonymity I won't be revealing the company names or CTC but I had this query I have been thinking about for quite long,
I tried reaching out to PU but they aren't giving prompt answers so I have decided to ask this to seniors who might be knowledgeable on this or people on campus who are better aware than me in this regards.
I am placed in company X
I am also placed in company Y and company X doesn't know it yet,
Company Y has a better offer than Company X in terms of overall CTC and responsibility (smaller team) but they haven't sent me an offer letter yet, so I haven't decided on whether to reject or accept (will decide based on offer letter)
If I reject the offer I am out of the placement process and will be going to company X
If not I go to company Y before the end of this month.
I am yet to give interviews for company Z and company W and I am pretty sure I will get selected there as well,
Company Z is close to my home with similar pay as company Y and has a more desk type role
Company W is in a completely different domain of XYZ and has PPP adjusted income close to company X but I think it doens't matter since lifestyle would be pretty minimal anyways and I can walkout with a lot of savings.
I want to know if I can interview for company W and Z if they show up to take interviews after I have joined company Y or X,
company Y has a joining date this month and X next month, so I wanted to know if I can get a better offer
E1: I should've mentioned earlier that company X,Y,Z are core chemical roles where as W is a non core role
