Segway P100S thumb throttle - best throttle ever. Period.
So you need to install it on:

My GT4 Pro Wishlist After 2800 km on the GT3 Pro
I have been riding my Segway GT3 Pro for about 2800 km, and honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. It is powerful and fun in some ways, but compared to the GT2, it feels like Segway made too many compromises.
The biggest issue for me is ride comfort. The GT2 had a much softer, more premium feeling on average pavement. The GT3 Pro feels much harsher. The front suspension is shorter, 150 mm instead of 165 mm, and it feels too stiff. The rear shock is also disappointing: 135 mm and no stiffness adjustment. For a scooter this heavy and powerful, that makes no sense.
The tires are another downgrade. The GT2 had wider tires, while the GT3 Pro uses narrower 80 mm tires with a very low-profile 80/55-7.5 size. On perfect asphalt they feel sharp and stable, but on slightly bad pavement the ride becomes harsh very quickly. You feel too much impact through the handlebars.
I also do not like the half-twist throttle. For this kind of scooter, I would really prefer a thumb throttle option. It gives better control, especially on bad roads or during acceleration.
The turn signal buttons also need a redesign. The current round button layout is hard to use while riding(specially in gloves), especially when the road is not perfectly smooth. It is too easy to miss or press the wrong direction. The buttons should be larger, wider, and much easier to feel by touch.
If Segway ever makes a GT4 Pro, this is what I would like to see:
- 2880 Wh battery or more
- Much faster charging, ideally around 20A or about 1500W total charging power
- Better 21700 cells, preferably high-quality Samsung cells
- Around 10000W total peak motor power
- 165 mm suspension front and rear
- Fully adjustable suspension, including stiffness and rebound
- Shock absorbers that are easy to replace with aftermarket options
- Thumb throttle option instead of only half-twist throttle
- Better turn signal buttons, larger and easier to use while riding
- 90 mm wide tires, maybe 90/60-7.5 or even something closer to the GT2 tire feel
- Better ride comfort on normal city pavement, not only on perfect asphalt
- Better front LED(had to use additional Nitecore BR35)
The GT3 Pro is not a bad scooter, but it feels like it lost some of the premium comfort that made the GT2 special. For the GT4 Pro, I really hope Segway focuses not only on power and specs, but also on suspension quality, tire comfort, controls, and long-term ride feel.
A GT4 Pro should feel like a true upgrade from both the GT2 and GT3 Pro, not just a heavier and harsher version with bigger numbers.
