Omar Ogues flickr, Feel My Legs, I'm a Racer 2011

For 11 years I put on a hill 'race' that was 10 of the hardest/steepest hills in Los Angeles. This photo set from Omar is like a time capsule of that era where fixed gear / alleycat / messenger / punk / road racing / cyclocross overlapped. There was no entry free, no prizes and I kept it as car-free as possible. Shout out to all of the participants and volunteers; it was a unique time in Los Angeles.
