I sleep hot. I just bought a new Visco cool gel infused foam mattress. It comes in a breathable, fully zippered (like a sleeping bag) mattress protector.
If I take the mattress protector off it just looks like a large piece of foam... the protector makes it look like a mattress.
The thing is. I also have a cooling, fluffy, mattress topper I want to use. This mattress topper fits like a fitted sheet. No zipper. It just tucks around each corner.
Everything online says to avoid using two mattress covers at once for possible mould and ventilation concerns. That each covers cooling impacts would be voided causing a warmer sleep.
Should I remove the mattress protector it came with to instead use my cooling fluffy mattress topper? Do I use both? If I only use the fluffy mattress topper; the bottom of the mattress would be completely unprotected.
