- Before even sitting down anywhere, the San Francisco store was very active. Lots of folks trying out stuff, helpful workers, a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I look forward to when the Los Angeles store opens.
- Lounge chair
- Very little lumbar support, probably would benefit from a throw pillow
- Cushion is mildly flimsy, you can feel the top part of it bend backwards when you sit and lean back in it
- Footrest is fine, nothing noteworthy about it but nothing wrong with it either.
- Arm rests are a little on the higher end, plenty long for resting your whole arm, and wrists on.
- When typing on my phone, I use one armrest, and it feels too high; my resting wrist becomes uncomfortably pulled backward
- I’m sitting on their performance texture weave. It’s also fine. Soft enough, and doesn’t feel too artificial.
- When sitting upright, I feel like the seat cushion is too long and pushes into the backs of my legs. Adjusting my legs forwards gives me opportunity to cross my legs, but requires me to push away the footrest to be comfortable. Attempting to put my feet up in this farther away footrest position stretches the backs of my legs. Not the most comfortable position to lounge in.
- Also when sitting upright, the arm rests still feel too high to be comfortable position.
- I will look elsewhere for a lounge chair myself.
- Signature Sofa
- Middle piece
- This was made to lie back in. It feels amazing for this purpose.
- The pillows on the show floor sofa are lovely for lumbar
- I feel perfectly sized for this; my legs go over the edge without the cushions digging into them.
- I could fall asleep lying back on this.
- Sitting more upright is a bit more difficult. I feel like I gotta tilt my neck downwards to look straight forward, level with the floor.
- End piece
- Same as middle piece. Extra arm rest if you want it.
- Arm rest is not as high as the lounge chair, but you’re sitting farther away from the middle of the cushion if you want to rest your arm there.
- End piece, with extended leg area
- This is the perfect “crash on the couch at someone’s for the night” kind of furniture. Legs feel supported, everything feels comfortable when laying on my back. Side sleeping maybe not so much. But lounging after a long day? I’d take this over the lounge chair any day.
- Middle piece
- Essential Armless Chair
- It’s alright. Good for crosslegged sitting. A little deep for my legs as-is, and a little shallow for my legs with their throw pillow.
- Wooden dining chair
- It’s alright. I like the curved back, but I feel like the flat sitting surface needs a support cushion or something.
- Classic Daybed
- I like the concept. Too narrow for my liking as a bed, and too wide as a sofa (half my shins dangle off the edge). I’m glad I personally went with a queen mattress.
Feel free to ask questions, I’ll do my best to respond. Overall, very nice looking products in person, but ergonomically mostly not for me. The signature sofa is a maybe though…perhaps in another apartment.
