I’m a 2nd year BTech CSE student and I’ve been thinking about getting into data science, but I’m still not fully sure if it’s the right fit for me.
I wanted to ask people who are already working in data science roles what do you actually do day to day? Like, what kind of problems do you work on, and how interesting is it in the long run? Does it ever get repetitive?
Also, how much of your work is coding vs analysing data vs meetings?
For context, I know Python, C, C++, Java, and I’m planning to focus on DSA and skill-building this summer. I want to use my summer break properly, so if you have any roadmap or suggestions on what I should focus on (especially for internships), that would really help.
I’m just trying to explore and figure out if this is something I’d enjoy doing long term, so honest opinions (pros/cons) would be great.
