Hiii

Looking for some advice. Might be a long one sorry 😣

Gonna go from the start so give the full story because I have been told 100 different things.

It’s a Hyundai Elantra 2011/2012 model it’s an automatic transmission. Got a new battery in November of last year.

All this happened end of February/march this year

I dropped my key and the key part came out. Managed to get it to drive back to work with just the key. As I have gone to leave work the car was making a weird noise sounds like a car trying to start but the actual cranking of the motor turning over wasn’t there. I tried tapping the accelerator because sometimes it would crank over but absolutely nothing. Got it to start the next day and dropped it at a mates place who is a mechanic. He couldn’t find anything wrong to explain why it was turning over. Only thing he could think of would be the key not communicating with the car because of how the car is computerised to the key. He said to contact an auto sparky to scan the car and key.

Fast forward a couple of weeks. Tried to get it going again. The battery has trained itself. No lights nothing were left on. We tried jumping it but nothing. (Will attach a video of the sound)

Tried to call an auto sparky that does the keys. He said it hasn’t nothing to do with the key and might have something to do with the wire harness.

Before I call a mobile Mechanic to come and have a look would anyone have any idea what it could be and what to look at specifically?

Thank you for any advice that you could give!!
