So, I am new to mending (but not sewing or embroidery) so I was wondering, can I use a dryer sheet that I put in the dryer with my clothes as a stabilizer?

I was thinking when pulling my laundry out of the dryer this morning, that it might work well for lighter fabrics. I also really like the texture though and would love to mix it with some sashiko techniques. My concern is how thin it is, like should I double up by using 2 sheets back to back (basically making 2 sheets into 1 thicker sheet)?

Personally I also just don't like to use things only once and would prefer to save money (especially right now as I'm not in the best financial place, as I recently moved to Maryland) so being able to use these instead of any stabilizer would be very nice. Especially since I have to use dryer sheets with the dryer at my place or face the static electric gods wrath (also it prevents my non-iron clothes from getting noticeably wrinkly).

Thank you for reading this and for any comments!!! :)
