Help with what meeting at work could be about

I work in audit at a Big 4 firm and I’ve been on a long-term performance plan for quite a while now. Earlier this year I went off sick for around 3.5 months due to stress/anxiety/depression related to work and I’ve only just recently returned on a phased return with occupational health involvement.

One of my phased return arrangements is that certain days are non-working days. Yesterday was one of those days, so I wasn’t checking emails. Apparently during the day a meeting invite came through titled “Confidential Discussion”. The attendees were:
- a HR Consultant who I’ve never dealt with before
- a partner from my department who I’m also not familiar with

Notably it wasn’t my PM, PL, occupational health contact, or anyone I normally deal with.

Because I was off that day as part of the phased return, I didn’t see the invite and missed the meeting, so it got cancelled. I’m assuming they’ll rearrange it for Monday.

I know nobody here can know for certain, but based on experience in Big 4/professional services, what do people think this kind of meeting is most likely to be about?

For context:
- there have recently been audit layoffs at the firm
- I still have ongoing OH involvement
- there has been no suspension/formal disciplinary wording/allegations/etc.
- No formal letters or emails about anything which could be related to this
- I don’t think or believe Ive done anything which would be gross misconduct or reportable to the icaew

Trying not to spiral but the vague title and attendees have made me anxious as to what it could be about

If this is a dismissal what kind of dismissal is it? Would it make it harder for me to find another job?
