Our poor baby is actually constipated with hard little pebbles/stools. He's been pooping regularly his merconium and formula poops. Yesterday we switched from the ready made formula bottles we got at the hospital to the same formula but made with our baby breeza. He took the bottles no problem so I didn't think much of it but around 9pm he started struggling to get much of a bottle in.
My husband began the night shift from midnight to 4am and my poor baby was in pain all night. Inconsolable and crying and refusing all of his bottles. My poor husband was in tears thinking its just him that can't get him to eat and then we noticed his BM was really hard when I came to relieve him.
I tried another bottle which he refused while still crying. So I immediately went back to the hospital ready made bottles to try and get something in him since I'm worried he's dehydrated. He drank that bottle SO FAST. Drank 35 ml in 10 minutes and then burped and passed out on me exhausted.
I feel terrible for him. I already have an order of these bottles getting delivered before his next feeding because I dont want him to get dehydrated. Everything online says in a baby this young to contact our pediatrician so I have a message into her for first thing in the morning. Is there anything else we can do to help our little guy? I absolutely hate seeing him in pain and hate that we're both first time parents just trying to figure this out.
