Im in texas, there is no wage garnishment allowed in texas only bank account. I was ready to file BK, I meet with a lawyer and he advised me not to file now, He said there is not point to file now cuz I dont have stable job I only have temporary jobs here and there, not much money in the bank, no assests at all, He said to file only if I get a stable job or if I get a judgment and even with a judgment he does not recomend to file bk cuz the creditors can not take anything from me now so he said "I will file for you once you have a stable income" he said to save my opportunity to file bk in case I get more debt due to my situation, he said "imagine that you ended up with a big medical debt and you already filed BK"..so I know he is right but also I dont want to live stressed about lawsuits, courts, judgments, etc.. I think not many attorneys would advise this because if they do it they will not have job. I have been sued already and will have the hearing court on Jun 9 with midland, I wanted to file before any court hearing but this attorney said to not worry about it and Im super stressed.
