Stay in Big 4 after Senior promo or move to industry?
Recently promoted to Senior at Big 4 and debating whether to stay or move to an industry role.
Big 4:
Pros:
- Numerous growth opportunities
- Pay is good, over 6 figures
- Recently promoted to Senior
Cons:
- WLB sucks so I’m starting to feel the burn out
- 3 days a week in office
Industry: Same Senior title and role
Pros:
- Hours are much better
- Good team/coworkers
- Remote
Cons:
- 25-30% salary decrease
Personally, the salary is the main con to moving to industry since it seems like a big drop from my current salary. That and having only been in a Senior role for less than a month since my promotion. I’m wondering if making the switch would be worth it or if it makes more sense to stay where I’m at. The job economy has been tough and I feel like there aren’t many remote opportunities.
