Put a finger down if your academic dean approved your request to throw a pizza party for your students that have shown any sort of growth/motivation towards academic progress and the students were all very excited because this was a stressful year for them (our Title I MS was under TEA supervision the whole year bc our school failed the STAAR test two years in a row, so we haven’t done anything fun all year). BUT then the day BEFORE the pizza party the TEA appointed principal calls you into her office to tell you that you cannot do a pizza party for only a few students because then the ones who weren’t invited would have their parents contact the school to ask why their child wasn’t invited to the pizza party. Then she suggests you buy pizza for all of your students, but you’re a teacher in Texas who can’t afford pizza for 70 students, so instead you have to break the news to your students tomorrow that there is no pizza party
