I recently purchased a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy after months of research, specifically looking for a 7-seater with modern features and technology. However, I’ve run into a couple of issues very early on and wanted to see if others are experiencing something similar.
Issue 1: The rearview mirror casing had loose or improperly fitted components from the beginning, causing it to come apart. I’ve already had multiple dealer visits for this and am still waiting on a permanent fix.
Issue 2 (Main Concern): When using Remote Parking Assist, the vehicle makes a noticeable squealing/creaking noise during low-speed movement, especially when releasing the brakes. The sound is quite pronounced and not what I would expect from a new vehicle. The dealership has consistently told me this is a “normal characteristic” related to brake pad/rotor interaction at low speeds.
To compare, I test drove another new Palisade Hybrid and did not notice the same level of noise. However, I was later told this may develop after a few thousand miles (my vehicle currently has ~3,000 miles).
I’m trying to understand whether this is truly common behavior or something specific to certain vehicles.
Questions for other owners:
Are you experiencing similar noise during Remote Parking Assist or low-speed braking?
Does it happen in both forward and reverse?
Did it appear after some mileage, or was it present from the beginning?
Has anyone had this properly diagnosed or resolved?
Any insights would be really helpful.
