Why my employer is not giving me a contract?
Hi everyone,
I just recently got into my apprenticeship in the education sector to be a SEN level 3 TA.
And my employer is an education agency hired me,
However they are not Giving me My apprenticeship Contract……., the contract they assume send me it’s an (email) in Text. I told them I want a formal PDF format that Outlines everything of my apprenticeship. I tell them I want :
Written statement of employment particulars
I want this. you know it outlines everything but NOOOO.
They just avoid what i want to get.
Only the email text, (it doesn’t even say that I am an apprentice 😃)
BTW in the school I am working as an apprentice I am contracted with my training provider for a year. which they are in partnership with my employer.
My training provider has send me signing my Hours. However, not pay not holiday entitlement. None of that doesn’t say in the contract. They are not paying me. Which I understand they only do my tutoring online.
But my employer says an email Text confirms everything I am doing. Honestly I have been on and on about getting my statement But they are just avoid answering questions. Making excuses and tell me I am wrong and there isn’t one. Like mate it’s Government Law says It’s mandatory for me to have it.
I don’t know what to do in this situation…
I think I am gonna just suck it up because I am lucky that I am doing an apprenticeship…
I am very curious why they do this ??
I am assuming they are not giving me one because, if I drop out of it will be less paperwork for them or they just don’t want to pay me more ? I am on 8£ per hour btw.
They say I get paid for holiday only school holidays btw I am still doing my training online during half term ( that is students holidays not mine ) i explained if I want to take one outside of half term, they said “No, you won’t get paid”
I don’t know how is that paying for my holiday ????????
