How are NET qualified supposed to earn? Can they do PhD and work at the same time?
So my qualifications are final years masters, about to graduate and I qualified NET in December but thinking about how to proceed the next step is scary and confusing and I don't know what to do.
I'm planning on applying for PhD and any Asst. Prof. vacancies wherever I can find them ofc as my prof told me to keep my options open but the more I read stories of people and the more I see people who are in the field I get confused. I understand only JRF qualified students get the stipend but how are NET qualified and PhD admissions only supposed to earn? I understand NET qualified makes one eligible for asst prof positions but can a full time PhD student really take up the job??? Does PhD really gives space to teach at the same time and if not, would I really have to look up for corporate options as part times??
