This happened a few days ago and has since been dealt with but it still bothers me.
I am in a manual wheelchair. I was shopping at a small gift shop. I was at the register to buy something using my credit card on my phone. It was just taking a minute for the payment to go through and the cashier just grabs at my phone to "help" me without even asking. I held onto the phone and told her I got it, which I did have it. The payment went through successfully and I left.
The next day I called the shop to tell them about my experience. The person on the phone was nice but didn't seem appalled or shocked that this happened. She asked what they should have done and I told her they should have asked. They are in customer service and they don't know anything about customer service? SMH.
I told my friends this and they said they were flabbergasted that someone would think its appropriate to grab someone's phone.
