I want to DIY my own battery for G3. Any guide, tech specs,.. anywhere?

Hi.

I'm a new Max G3 E owner, and during my first ride, I rode on mostly flat surfaces, no wind, 95% of the time at 25 km/h (I have E version), with my weight up to 80kg. When I got home, my trip was ~32km, with 21% battery remaining. In theory, this is around 40km at 0%.

I was looking around about that external battery Segway is advertising, and I came across Sharkboy, who made his own 25 Ah with 21700 batteries. And I became intrigued.

I don't have a 3D printer for the case, so the best thing (I think) would be to buy a cheap battery pack from AliE, remove their (usually very bad) batteries, and replace them with a bulk buy from nkon nl or similar shop. (I'm from Europe.). These batteries are very cheap if you don't buy them at vape shops.

I also assume Chinese BMS (from AliE) from their battery can be either very good or crap, depending on the product.

Does a guide/tutorial to do something like this exist anywhere? Or maybe just a list of parts and maybe what to look for?

Since I'm new to the e scooter world, I don't know where I can get this kind of information. Are there forums, dedicated webpages, discord,...?

I'm a software dev, but I'm not unfamiliar with soldering, but additional info about this wouldn't hurt, if it's included in the guide.

What do you all think? Any help and pointers are appreciated.
