A lot of students I’ve worked with say NBME questions feel way more vague than UWorld
A bunch of students I’ve talked to lately keep saying the same thing about Step 2
UWorld makes them feel prepared… then they take an NBME and suddenly feel like they forgot how to think lol.
Not even because the content is harder. Mostly because NBME questions feel weirdly vague compared to UWorld. Less clues, shorter stems, and answer choices that all sound “kind of right.”
One student told me:
“I think UWorld trained me to overthink.”
Honestly I kinda see it too. Especially for ethics, OB, and next best step questions.
Curious if anyone else had that transition where they had to stop reading into every little detail and just go with the more straightforward answer.
