Probate help in Alberta
Good day all
Looking for some advice on private. My mother passed away in 2021, with no will. We were in the process but her condition took her before anything was official.
There is not a ton of assets, the home my father still lives in, a savings account under 1k, an RRSP with around 10k , and a safety deposit box neither of us knew existed.
My dad is great, but getting him to do anything related to paper work or bills is near impossible.
How do I go about getting probate done, so he is the executor, but without him having to come to appointments or worry about all the details? Is it even possible.
I handle and pay all of his bills, he couldn’t care less as long as bills are paid and he has money when he needs it. Mom used to handle all the finance but handed it to me when she got sick.
