Hey all,

I live about 2 hours from Providence but I have never been to Rhode Island. Is there anywhere in RI (Providence included) that is worth a day trip or would it make more sense to spend at least a night or two to visit?

Additionally, is there anything you would highly recommend to a first time visitor from out of state? For some better ideas about who to cater suggestions to I am mid twenties and also from New England. I like good food, museums, art, and hiking.
