From 18-28 years old I was on ortho-tri-cyclen for acne and pregnancy prevention. My partner at the time ended up getting a vasectomy, so I figured I'd go off the pill and see how my body reacted. I didn't notice much of a difference, but my acne did get worse, so I did Accutane during that time off the pill.

After my ex and I broke up, I avoided the pill for a bit but decided I should go back on it for pregnancy prevention while I'm sexually active. I had a relatively chill experience with ortho-tri-cyclen (I'm sure I was taking a generic), but this time I figured I'd try a lower estrogen version, so I started tri-lo-marzia (ortho-tri-cyclen lo). The side effects have been a bit unbearable, but I haven't been on it for 6 months yet. Throughout the middle 2 weeks of the pack, I'm experiencing: -lower back pain -cramping/general discomfort -breast tenderness -breakthrough bleeding -upper and lower, right and left abdomen pain -mood changes

Should I stick it out and see if things get better? It really makes day-to-day life more miserable right now, but I'm curious if anyone has had a similar experience? I also did a quick start with this (not a Sunday or a day 1 start)... curious if that's impacting my body's adjustment. Thoughts??
