I’ve got ChatGPT Go and Gemini Pro for free through Airtel and Jio, and I’ve been consistently using Codex and Antigravity for my work as an SDE as well as for personal projects.
Once these free subscriptions expire, I want to understand what options are available, including paid ones. Most subscriptions seem to cost around $10–$20 per month, and I’m not looking to spend $100–$200 on plans like Claude or ChatGPT Max.
I’ve also started exploring open source Chinese models (RIP free Qwen CLI usage).
So what are the best options right now? I know things change quickly and new models keep coming out, so it’s hard to predict, but what are you currently using or recommending?
Is something like the Opencode Go $10 plan or Ollama Pro $20 plan worth it? Or should I go for direct plans from Minimax or Kimi?
Build.Nvidia hasn’t been reliable for me, so I’d prefer not to consider that.
I hope the RAM shortage eases soon so I can experiment with models like Qwen3.6 27B or Qwen 35B-A3B
